Regularly backing up your files ensures that your game progress and data are safe from unexpected issues like system crashes, corruption, or accidental deletions. By creating frequent backups, you minimize the risk of losing important settings or achievements, allowing for a seamless recovery whenever needed. A reliable backup strategy keeps your gaming experience uninterrupted and stress-free!

Step 1: Accessing the Backup Section

To begin creating a backup, navigate to the Game Panel and select the server you want to manage. Once inside the server settings, locate the "Backup" section in the control panel. Now, simply press the Backup button to initiate the process, then proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Configuring Backup Settings

Once you pressed the Backup button, a menu will open, allowing you to customize your backup settings. Here’s what you can do:

  • Give Your Backup a Name Assign a recognizable name to your backup for easier identification later.

  • Exclude Specific Files and Folders If there are certain files or folders you don’t want to include in the backup, you can exclude them by specifying their names. Here’s how exclusion works:

    • Enter mods to exclude the entire mods folder (no need for the full path like home/container/mods).

    • Specify server.jar to ignore the server.jar file in the root directory.

    • Use mods/FILENAME.jar to exclude a specific file.

  • For broader exclusions, use logs/* to ignore all files in the logs folder except for specified ones.
Example: To exclude all files in the logs folder except latest.log, use:
The /* ensures all files in the folder are ignored, while ! ensures the exception remains included.
  • Lock Your Backup to prevent accidental deletion, you can lock your backup. Locked backups must be manually unlocked before they can be deleted.

Once these settings are configured, press the "Start Backup" button to begin the backup process.

Step 3: Managing Your Backup

Congratulations! You've successfully created a backup. Now, you can access it through the Backup section of your GamePanel. By clicking the three dots next to your backup, you’ll find several management options:

  • Download – Save the backup file to your device.

  • Restore – Revert your server to this saved backup.

  • Delete (if not locked) – Remove the backup permanently.

  • Lock/Unlock – Secure the backup to prevent deletion or unlock it for removal when needed.

Your data is now safely stored, ready to be restored whenever necessary!

Troubleshooting & Extra Help

If you encounter issues while managing your backup, consider the following solutions:

  • Ensure Your Backup Appears in the GamePanel – If your backup is missing, refresh the panel or check if it was saved correctly.

  • Check Storage Limits – Confirm there's enough space for your backup.

  • Verify Backup Integrity – If restoring doesn't work, ensure the backup file isn't corrupted or incomplete.
